Restaurateur Peter Bartholomew teamed up with Mark Best, of Marque in Sydney, to create a fun and sophisticated dining experience.
Clients worked closely with Rice Architecture to transform the space from a dull Australia Post outlet to a Bistro by day and fine dining restaurant/bar by night. In the Paris end of Collins St, set back from the main drag, the venue caters to Melbourne locals and international guests staying at the Sofitel Hotel. Pei Modern has won many awards since opening, and in 2013 was placed 23rd in the top 100 restaurants
